The administration of the Port of Olympia is managed by the Administrative Services Director, Jeri Sevier. The Administrative Services Director is responsible for providing leadership and management for the administrative operations of the Port of Olympia.
The Administrative Services Director manages the purchasing program for office supplies, office equipment and furnishings and other administrative purchasing. In addition, the Director oversees the surplus program, records storage and retention and administrative functions, such as janitorial, security, mail services and office maintenance.
The Administrative Services Director is responsible for the human resource development and employee relations. The Director develops, updates and manages the Port policies and procedures, manages the recruitment and retention program, manages the training and wellness program, and manages the compensation and recognition program.
Information services at the Port of Olympia are contracted to an outside vendor for maintenance and support of the infrastructure. The Administrative Services Director oversees the entire information systems infrastructure and manages the outside consultant.
